Just had a lovely lunch with Harlene, whom I haven't seen in entirely too long. It's nice to be able to just sit and have a conversation with someone - one that can ramble wherever it likes, without having to stick to some designated list of topics. We chatted about house stuff (naturally), over-reaction to threats of terrorism, the fundamentalists who think the Harry Potter books encourage Satanism, travel (Germany, London, and Dublin), movies in general (Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Heist), and ever so briefly the play she's directing in the spring (A Doll's House). Afterwards we watched a loony on middle path trying to witness to a bunch of students. They weren't having any of it. I thought about asking him to autograph my copy of Harry Potter. Bet he'd have loved that :-)
