Things are going to be quiet around here for a bit. Joe and I are off to Ohio once again (last trip before closing!), then to the beach, where I'll be geekily toting about a borrowed laptop. I promise not to check mail or news more than once a day. Really. Also, lots of packing to do, myriad phone calls about insurance and movers, and maybe, at some point, a nap.
Aw, the hell with it - here's the entire schedule through June 1:
| Thursday night - | buy boxes, pack up books and anything else we can manage |
|---|---|
| Friday morning - | pick up rental car at 10, meet Mark sometime after 11, and head for Ohio |
| Friday night - | arrive in Ohio, find Paul, immediately being planning the concert, stay up until wee hours debating what to sing and wear |
| Saturday morning - | recover from Saturday night, try to get a PO Box during the brief period the window's open, continue singing and planning |
| Saturday night - | dinner, followed by concert at Rosse Hall. Meet adoring fans (read: Joe) immediately afterward, and go to post-concert party and yet more singing |
| Sunday morning - | head back to DC, doubtless completely mute |
| Sunday night - | meet Michael, Ann, Dan, Sharon, Tom, and Elizabeth for fondue at 8, followed by CheapAss Games, followed by frantic packing for the beach |
| Monday morning - | finish packing for the beach, quick trip through the grocery store for dinner makings, head for the Outer Banks |
| Six hours later - | arrive, immediately pour drink, and cease all motion until... ... ... ... ... |
| Thursday - | return to Maryland |
| Friday - | Back to work for what one hopes will be a somewhat subdued day of work, during which a deliverable may be actually delivered, or may be mercifully delayed until Monday |
Anyhow, catch y'all sometime in June!
