There's a new flower in the garden. I thought it was a peony but have been informed by my mother and aunt that peonies don't ever bloom this late, and it is most likely a hibiscus. Who knew? Anyhow, it is lovely. I'm planning the garden for next year already.
Still lots to do inside too. At least there's been a little progress. I've fixed the guest bathroom toilet, and we bought the lumber for the closet baseboard. Plus, it looks like the sailing club will be using the barn for storage, so that won't be completely going to waste (nice tax write-off, too), and Doug has promised to send me his back issues of Old House Journal.
