Things I have learned in the past 24 hours:
- Haley Joel Osment is some sort of Superbowl-picking phenom
- One of my old advisors, Dan Parr, has died at 60. He was a really nice guy, if a terrible advisor. What's really sad is that I would never have guessed him to be as young as 60 - he looked that age when I knew him 15 years ago. He seems to have lived the kind of life that makes you look old early.
- The Bucs no longer stink. One of the foundations of my worldview has been shaken. Luckily, I still have the Clippers to fall back on.
- Nick "Livin' the Dream" Bakay (of SportsCenter) graduated from my alma mater. I am now making it my mission to find embarassing yearbook photos of him and send them to ESPN.
- I do not need glasses yet.
- It can always get colder out, but that's ok because we have about 20 scarves in the house.
