Help me spend 99¢

It's a sign of ongoing inflation that computer keyboards do not come with a ¢ key. They were standard equipment on typewriters and now you have to work out an obscure ASCII code.

Anyhow.

I am looking for your assistance (and by "you" I of course mean anyone who might be taking the time to read this, whether or not you know me from Adam). I was, as it happens, the lucky winner (one of gazillions) of a free download from iTunes, simply because I had no Coke-access during one of my recent Census meetings, and was forced to drink Pepsi. The catch is, I only have one download (unlike Dear Husband, who has about a dozen). I've gone out to the iTunes site several times, but every time I find a song I know I want to own, I realize that it's on an album full of other songs I want to own. So far, this has happened with songs by Neil Finn, Mary Gauthier, and Mindy Smith. It's becoming frustrating.

This is where you, dear readers, come in. All four of you. Can you offer any suggestions for a single song to download? Excellent song on an otherwise meh album? Fantastic cover on a movie soundtrack? Wonderful live version of a song? All ideas will be entertained, and I'll be sure to let y'all know what I end up choosing.

"Amazing Grace" by The Blind Boys of Alabama. The rest of the CD is OK, but this is a must-have. Accapella arrangement to the tune of "House of the Rising Sun"

Matt sez: U2's Vertigo off of How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb. I can't remember if you're a u2 fan or not. If you are, you have the album. If you're not, this is a great song to rock out to. Even daughter Sarah says so!

"Lover (You Don't Treat Me No Good)" by Sonia Dada. Just try to not smile, wiggle, or sing during this one. The album is terribly hit-and-miss, however.

(Could also do "You Ain't Thinkin' About Me" or "Deliver Me" from the same album.)
