graduation redux
In about 45 minutes, I will be starting the last session of my class on Court Musical Patronage. Technically, the last class was last week, but we decided to meet one more time for a short session to tie everything together.
I started taking classes again in January of 2001, and since then have taken classes on Brahms, opera, Bach, an introduction to Ethnomusicology, the history of Korean music, the anthropology of Vocal Music, and now this. This has not been the most amazing class I've taken - really good, but not life-changing. It's not on a subject that I plan to pursue for the rest of my born days. Still, this particular ending is a bit of a milestone. It is most likely my last undergraduate class ever, and almost certainly my last class at Kenyon. Starting in September, I morph into Graduate Student Person, never to return.
Anyhow, since I don't get to walk around in a robe and funny hat to commemorate the event, I thought I'd mention it here.
garden progress: Less than hoped - we're getting afternoon thunderstorms.
house progress: New pot rack hung, knife rack moved, smoke/CO alarm hung upstairs, and lots of vacuuming.
what's for dinner? Class is at Middle Ground, so probably either the jerk chicken panini or the felafel.
